The contactless hotel check-in is a new citywide solution introduced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to create a more seamless and convenient arrival experience for visitors. Developed by Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, it enables guests to complete their check-in once by uploading their identification documents and biometric data before travelling, setting a new benchmark for guest convenience and safety across the hospitality sector.

Once implemented at participating hotels and holiday homes, the service allows guests to bypass traditional front desk procedures at the start of every stay, with their information remaining valid until the identification document expires. Its introduction reflects Dubai’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions and enhancing the overall visitor journey – ensuring a smarter, streamlined experience across the city.
