Dubai Stand Up Paddle 2025 unveils expanded programme at Hatta Dam
Held on 8 and 9 November, Dubai Stand Up Paddle 2025 features its biggest programme yet.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 8 October 2025 – Registrations are now open for the third edition of Dubai Stand Up Paddle (SUP), presented by RTA, returning to the stunning Hatta Dam with an extended programme. Following phenomenal demand since its Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) debut, the event will take place over two days, across the weekend of 8-9 November, 2025.
Last year’s edition welcomed 2,330 participants to experience the tranquility of paddle boarding and kayaking against the dramatic backdrop of the Hajar Mountains, and this year promises even more excitement with the addition of a second day. Both seasoned paddlers and newcomers can enjoy a serene escape into nature, gliding across calm, crystal-clear waters while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and rugged terrain.
Over the two-day event, participants can work toward their 30x30 goals, with free SUP training sessions for both adults and families. In line with DFC’s commitment to accessibility, People of Determination will also have the chance to experience adaptive water activities, supported by specially trained teams. The event is designed for all ages and abilities, with all necessary equipment - including boards, paddles, and life jackets - provided, alongside a safety briefing before heading onto the water. With the event now spanning a full weekend, it’s the perfect excuse to turn Dubai SUP into a Hatta getaway - stay overnight, explore the mountains, enjoy ziplining, hiking, and dining experiences, and make it a two-day adventure for the whole family.
And to round off each day, don’t miss the chance to join 30-minute Sunset Yoga sessions. Held on the water and guided by professional instructors, this tranquil experience is the perfect way to unwind, reset, and soak in the stunning views of Hatta’s Mountain landscape.
What’s more, participants can recharge throughout the day at the many food trucks and kiosks on site. Options range from fresh coffee and burgers to Indian bites, healthy treats, and even a convenience store for quick grab-and-go essentials.
To keep the experience seamless and inclusive, free shuttle services will run from Dubai, making it easy for participants to reach Hatta. Buses will depart from the One Central Free Parking Lot, conveniently located near Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, commented: “Dubai Stand Up Paddle, presented by RTA, continues to embody Dubai’s commitment to fostering a healthy, active lifestyle for all. The overwhelming response over the last two years showed the strength of community interest, and this year’s expansion into a two-day event reflects that growing enthusiasm. By hosting it once again in the scenic setting of Hatta, we aim to further highlight its unique appeal as both a sporting and tourist destination, while driving forward our shared goal of building a healthier, more active community.”
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), added: “Building on the community’s overwhelming support of Dubai Stand Up Paddle, presented by RTA, we are proud to see the event return in an expanded two-day format. This evolution not only highlights the community’s passion for outdoor fitness but also reinforces Dubai’s role as a hub for innovative, inclusive experiences that inspire lasting lifestyle changes. More than just a sporting challenge, the event celebrates wellness, sustainability, and togetherness, offering residents and visitors alike a unique way to embrace an active lifestyle that endures well beyond Dubai Fitness Challenge.”
Organised by Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Stand-Up Paddle is Presented by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) with Association Partners Decathlon and Hatta Kayak; Official Partner Mai Dubai; and Government Partners Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Ministry of Education and Event’s Security Committee.

This two-day celebration of Dubai’s most-loved outdoor activities has something for everyone.
