Q: What happens after I register with Medyaf?

Once registered, you may book you a half-hour Medyaf counselling session in which we will give you a detailed introduction to all our services – like career counselling, skills development training, volunteering, internships, summer/winter break student camps and Emirati tour guiding – and how these can help you enter the tourism industry.

Q: Do you help students or graduates?

Both. Medyaf supports all students who are interested in pursuing a career in the tourism industry through summer and winter school-break training programmes, industry internships and volunteering opportunities. Medyaf supports graduates through hiring opportunities – both full time and part time – with tourism industry partners.

Q: How can I become an Emirati tour guide?

The free UAE National Tour Guide training programme is a nine-day course. Please visit www.tourguidetraining.ae to register.

The Emiritisation department of the Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) aims to attract Emiratis to work in the city's private sector. The Emiratisation department provides UAE nationals with support and access to a range of tailored services, career counselling, skills development courses and volunteering opportunities to ensure a bright future for programme participants.
